This opportunity seeks a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support K-12 students in a dynamic school setting located in Sterling Heights, MI. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY), offering the chance to make a meaningful impact on student communication development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify student needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language challenges
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies
- Participate in meetings and provide recommendations for accommodations and interventions
Qualifications:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience providing SLP services within school settings, preferably across the K-12 spectrum
- Strong knowledge of educational speech-language therapy techniques and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and staff
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse student needs
